IVIG
Immune globulin (Ig) is a proven and secure treatment derived from human plasma that contains antibodies. It is administered either intravenously (IVIG) through a vein or subcutaneously (SCIG or SubQ) beneath the skin. This treatment is designed to protect individuals who are unable to combat infections due to inadequate antibody production or whose immune system is mistakenly attacking their own healthy cells. Ig is produced from the blood of thousands of donors, resulting in a highly concentrated mix of antibodies that help fend off viruses and bacteria.
